The Institute for Collaborative Innovation is a non-profit organization advancing innovation activity through research, education, and collaboration. It brings together diverse communities to address complex challenges and facilitate meaningful change.

OUR VISION
To identify and help clients design and build new and more effective forms of collaboration among their key stakeholders in Canada's innovation system, in order to:
1. strengthen Canadian research and development performance;
2. improve public policy supporting the use of innovative technologies throughout Canada; and
3. assist clients to expand the production of new products and services for global markets
1. Research for Clients
ICI Canada will conduct research into three areas: the impact on Canada from new and emerging global risks; the needs, gaps, and opportunities within the Canadian Innovation System to address these risks with new Knowledge, Technology and Talent; and global best practices in new models of collaboration to support the performance of innovative Canadian firms and organizations.
Our keystone research project is the Canada Innovates Project (CIP).
2. Education
ICI Canads will seek opportunities to educate Canadian policymakers, buisnesses, and researchers on the best global practice of innovation systems and supporting policies, including new forms and models of stakeholder collaboration.
3. Advice on Collaborative Engagement
ICI Canada will identify new channels for dialogue between the policy-making, academic, and business communities in Canada; create forums (real and virtual) to discuss specific areas of innovation risk or opportunity in Canada; organize and carry out conferences and seminars to provide additional opportunities for networking and
engagement; and provide direct assistance to organizations in creating new innovation networks and collaboration frameworks.
