WHAT WE DO

ICI has five mainstreams of activity, with others in development. These include:
3. Research & Data Analysis

We develop, utilize, and disseminate analytic tools, frameworks, and processes that facilitate the translation of diverse knowledge and data, from both national and global sources into actionable, evidence-based policies and practices.

1. Thought Leadership

ICI members regularly contribute to promoting citizen-centred innovation, in part, by exploring the role of Canada's science, technology, innovation, and policy (STIP) ecosystem. We participate in various conferences, symposia, and publish articles in a variety of outlets.

2. Global Risk Analysis

We monitor and analyze implications of global risks for Canada and examine the role of our STIP ecosystem in helping respond to emanating opportunities and threats.

4. Youth Engagement

We believe that Canadian youth have a key role to play in charting future paths for Canada but largely disengaged from policy making process. ICI is working to fill this gap by developing mechanisms to better understand their needs, capture their perspectives, and connect this with policies toward a more desirable future for them.

5. Services to External Clients

Services to external clients supports their work while allowing us to enhance our capacities to advance our social mission of promoting citizen-centred innovation.
