Dr. Payal Arya is an interdisciplinary scientist and data analysis expert specializing in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. She is currently a post-doctoral fellow at the Center for Integration of Science and Industry at Bentley University (Boston, USA). Her work focuses on understanding diverse business models that drive pharmaceutical innovation and analyzing investment trends in drug development. She applies advanced data analysis to real-world challenges in drug development, bridging scientific evidence, business strategy, and policy insight to inform investment and innovation decisions. At ICI, Dr. Arya brings her data analytics expertise to defining frameworks and building digital platforms that support healthy communities.

Dr. Arya obtained her PhD in Biology from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune and her MS in Biotechnology from the University of Pune, India. Her scientific training spans molecular biology and neuroscience, including National Institutes of Health (NIH)-supported research at Wellesley College, where she used functional MRI to study how songbirds learn vocal patterns — a model for understanding language learning in humans
